I LOVED this coffee house and can't wait to come back.
I came here on disappointing circumstances the other day, but felt at ease and comfortable which is all I could ask for. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a latte while waiting to get results back for our baby (dog) who we had to put down . We spent about 40 minutes here in the back patio area and I couldn't have asked for a better environment.
The cashier is a funny, quirky Russian dude who's very patient (considering some of the characters that came in). I love the decor and ambiance here. It's very 30s/40s kitsche with black and white hexagon tile floors and Pulp Fiction postcards for sale.
It's the kind of place where the only people working on their laptops are 100% writers. That's it.
Lots of tables and seats, very room, not a typical stuffy or "cozy" spot. The outdoor patio is secluded from the main road it is on with also plenty of seating, vine-y foliage, and dog friendly.
The almond milk lattes were spot on. Creamy, perfect ratio, and robust tasting espresso. Will totally come back to work here. -

This place was pretty close to the hotel I was staying so I went here to kill some time. They have regulars that come pretty much every day which creates a real sense of family and community at this place. The outside patio is extremely adorable and it was a great place to sit with a good book. I ordered both an iced coffee and an iced tea and they were both great! The WiFi was fast too, you have to ask for the password from one of the workers.

Milan was super friendly. Victor did an amazing tasting latte and beautiful latte art. Sat to enjoy my drinks on the outside patio enjoying the perfect Santa Monica weather.

Apparently they just reopened after a renovation but failed to get rid of these blackface jazz performer statuettes (behind the register/above the milk fridge) in the process. In a best case scenario, it's a jarring demonstration of the owner's lack of awareness as to how such emblematic symbols of Jim Crow racism could be alienating and offensive to customers of color. Here's to hoping they take them down ASAP.

Cozy indoor area and lush outdoor area for working and relaxing. It does give off a 40s/50s atmosphere with the diner feel, authentic decor and pulp fiction-esque post cards. I like a good (and strong) cold brew and they have just that. Although I haven't tried the food yet, it looks great coming out. Only downside is parking as they have only around 4 spots in alley which are normally taken up. The alternative is street parking, but you have to pay a meter. WiFi is available as well!
